Name: Dr. Takashi Asano
Title: Professor Emeritus at the University of California at Davis
Current Address: Davis, California
Type of Order: The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Star
Accomplishment: Significantly contributed to the advancement of water resources management in Japan and promoted academic exchange between the U.S. and Japan as a pioneer and the worlds leading researcher in the field of water resources management, a subject which is increasingly recognized to be one of the most pressing international issues of the 21st century.
