The Audio-Visual Department of
the Japan Information Center maintains a collection of more than 200 video
titles in VHS format. The AV collection also includes DVD's, 35 mm slide
sets and music CD's. An online audio-visual catalog lists our entire collection
and includes instructions, procedures and forms for borrowing and duplicating
our materials. You can access the catalog to order materials by clicking
the A/V catalog link on the Consulate's
homepage. The AV department loans its audio-visual materials free of charge
to schools, clubs and non profit organizations as well as individuals
for non-commercial use in Northern California and the state of Nevada.
In addition, the department upon request arranges special screenings and
presentations at the Center.
Our audio-visual materials add a unique dimension to the teaching of Japanese
language and culture. We strongly encourage the use of these materials
in the classroom to help add an international perspective to your curriculum.
