Japanese
Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) |
JCCCNC is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Japanese
American cultural heritage and history. it is also dedicated to enhancing
the quality of life for all age groups by constructing, developing and
managing a multi-service center located in the Japantown area of San Francisco.
The centralized facility houses several community organizations and provides
a variety of services which include community, cultural, educational and
recreational programs.

The Japanese Cultural Center at Foothill College, with an authentic chashitsu
(tea room) and chaniwa (tea garden), is a volunteer based membership-sustaining
organization. Its events and programs for the public include: lecture /
demonstrations by visiting or local Japanese artists and craftsmen, seasonal
festivals, business talks, Japanese films, and general interest presentations.
One recent presentation was on cuisine preparation using bamboo shoots
from the bamboo grove on the hillside. For more information, please visit
