Francisco Taiko Dojo |
Grandmaster Tanaka founded the original San Francisco Taiko Dojo in 1968,
bringing taiko as an art form to America. Taiko Dojo was the first taiko
group in the country but, over the years, Seichi tanaka's students have
travelled across the globe, forming new taiko ensembesand establishing
taiko as an art form. The most exciting and dynamic taiko group in the
world remains San Francisco Taiko Dojo, who blend traditional and contemporary
rhythms, dance and martial arts to create the unique Tanaka style.
