Upcoming Event: Japanese Folk Music and Dance at Yerba Buena Gardens Festival Lunchtime Concert

The Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco is partnering with the 2017 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival to present a special lunchtime concert of Japanese folk music and dancing. Kyle Abbott and Mike Penny of Bachido Shamisen will showcase the flexibility of the Japanese shamisen by playing an assortment of traditional, folk, and original pieces. In the second half of the show, they will be joined by Awakko Ren, performing traditional Awa Odori dance from Tokushima Prefecture. This concert is free and open to the public. Please come and enjoy this special summertime show.
