2017 San Jose Giants Japanese Heritage Night

On Sunday, August 20, the San Jose Giants (Class A-Advanced Minor League farm team for the San Francisco Giants) held their Japanese Heritage Night. Deputy Consul General Nagayoshi attended the event, throwing the ceremonial first pitch and participating in a sake barrel breaking ceremony before the game. The game was also preceded by a Japanese taiko drumming performance and the national anthems of both the United States and Japan.
