On April 11th, the California State Railroad Museum and the Railway Museum in Saitama, Japan became sister museums. A Japanese Shinkansen simulator has been part of the High Speed Rail exhibit at the California State Railroad Museum since last November, which inspired this new sister museum relationship.

During his speech at the ceremony, Consul General Yamada wished both of the museums many more successful years. He also mentioned that California and Japan have many sister city relationships, but sister museum relationships are unique, and we are turning a new page in further strengthening ties between California and Japan.
