“BART & Beyond: Bay Area in Ukiyo-e Style Print” Exhibit

The Japan Information and Cultural Center (JICC) at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco is proud to present local Japanese traditional woodblock print artist Miwako Nishizawa’s Exhibition “BART & BEYOND: Bay Area in Ukiyo-e Style Print” at the JICC Gallery.

Nishizawa created three Japanese woodblock prints featuring BART and Bay Area city landscapes by the request of local public transportation agency BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). This exhibit will feature her original BART pieces and other ukiyo-e style prints influenced by Bay Area landscape. Her work will be displayed in the JICC gallery from Monday, February 13th until Thursday, April 27th.
