Kickoff Reception for the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival 50th Anniversary

On Friday, March 24, Consul General Yamada hosted a kickoff reception in recognition of the 50th Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival (NCCBF). During his speech, Consul General Yamada expressed his appreciation towards the Festival Committee members on their dedication, and his high hopes for the monumental 50th Festival and the future. About 30 people attended the reception including Mr. Kenichi Sato, President of JCCNC, the 50th NCCBF Executive and Planning Committees members.
 
The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival attracts about 200,000 attendees annually, making it the second largest Cherry Blossom Festival in the United States, after the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. NCCBF will celebrate its 50th Festival on April 8, 9, 15, and 16. We hope that you will be able to attend!
