“Transforming Paper: A Modern Take on Japanese Origami” Exhibit

The Japan Information and Cultural Center (JICC) at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco is proud to present local origami artist Linda Tomoko Mihara’s Exhibition “Transforming Paper: A Modern Take on Japanese Origami” at the JICC Gallery。
Mihara is the granddaughter of Tokinobu Mihara, author of two of the first books on origami written in English during the 1950’s. She has won awards for her innovative origami design and pieces including her Blue Wave Dress, a piece folded from a single sheet of paper. This piece as well as many other of Mihara’s original origami pieces will be displayed at this exhibit.
