On Saturday, September 23, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco, in partnership with the Asian Art Museum and the Ikebana Teachers Federation, held a special demonstration and workshop on Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. The demonstration segment featured expert teachers from the Sogetsu, Ikenobo, and Ohara Schools of Ikebana, highlighting the similarities and differences across this art form. The demonstration was attended by over 100 visitors. The workshop portion was led by the Wafu School and participants were able to create their own ikebana arrangements.
