Consul General Yamada offering remarks welcoming back JET returnees
Remarks by a representative of the JET returnees
On Friday, October 27, Consul General Yamada hosted the annual welcome back reception for the JET Program returnees at his official residence. Joining the Consul General to welcome the JET returnees back were members of the JET Alumni Association of Northern California and representatives from community organizations and Japanese businesses in the Bay Area.
After remarks from the Consul General and others, the returnees were able to mingle with other guests sharing their experiences in Japan and also meeting with representatives from Japanese businesses that are interested in hiring candidates like the JET returnees who have a deep understanding of Japanese culture and society as well as facility with the language.
