On Wednesday, November 15, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and the Berkeley Study Abroad Center co-presented an information session on study abroad opportunities in Japan and the MEXT scholarships at UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley students heard presentations from Berkeley Study Abroad Center staff, representatives from Japanese universities, and a Consulate staff member on study abroad opportunities for college students in Japan and the MEXT scholarships. Two current UC Berkeley students, who studied in Japan, talked about their experiences as international students. The presentations were followed by a lively Q & A session with the speakers where the students asked many questions.
