The first presentation highlighted the historical significance of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a symbol of Japan’s postwar recovery and provided an overview of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the ongoing preparations for the Games. The presentation on Japanese pop culture focused on “Kawaii” culture in Japan, introducing the concept of “Kawaii” and its historical evolution over the years.
