The TOMODACHI Initiative, a joint effort undertaken by the U.S.-Japan Council and the U.S. Embassy, is now entering the sixth year of the TOMODACHI-Mitsui & Co. Leadership Program—a unique leadership development opportunity designed to mentor and nurture future leaders in the United States and Japan.
The program, generously funded by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. since 2013, enables young Japanese and American leaders to visit each other’s countries to develop greater cross-cultural awareness and build the people-to-people ties that are so important to the future of our bilateral relationship.
The TOMODACHI Initiative is currently seeking young professional leaders from diverse areas of the United States and Japan who hold an interest in leveraging stronger U.S.-Japan relations in their personal and/or professional lives.
