On Friday, March 2, a Consulate staff member visited Ed W. Clark High School and the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in Las Vegas to give a presentation on the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The talk began with an introduction to the modern history of Tokyo including the historical significance of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a symbol of Japan’s postwar recovery. The presentation concluded with an overview of the 2020 Olympics and the ongoing preparations for the Games.
