Students listen to a presentation on the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo
Consulate staff member speaking about career opportunities with Japanese language skills
On Monday, March 19, Consulate staff members visited Palo Alto High School to give presentations on the upcoming 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo and career opportunities with Japanese language skills to two Japanese classes. The talk began with an introduction to modern Tokyo and its history including the historical significance of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a symbol of Japan’s postwar recovery and concluded with an overview of the 2020 Olympics and the ongoing preparations for the Games.
