On Tuesday, March 20, a hanami (cherry blossom viewing) event was held at Hakone Gardens located in Saratoga. Consul General Uyama, along with City Councilmember Emily Lo and Hakone Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Ann Waltonsmith, both former mayors of Saratoga, delivered remarks to about 70 attendees. The program included a koto performance against the beautiful backdrop of Hakone Gardens.
