Students of the Japanese class 1 listens to a presentation on Tokyo
On Wednesday, March 28, a Consulate official visited Stevenson High School in Pebble Beach and gave a presentation on the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo to two Japanese classes. The talk began with an introduction to the modern history of Tokyo including the historical significance of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics as a symbol of Japan’s postwar recovery. The presentation concluded with an overview of the 2020 Olympics and the ongoing preparations for the Games.
