On Sunday, April 22, Consul General Tomochika Uyama hosted a reception at his official residence in honor of the Ambassador of Japan to the United States and Mrs. Shinsuke J. Sugiyama’s visit to San Francisco. Approximately 70 guests were in attendance, including Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, California State Assemblyman Ken Cooley, San Francisco Supervisor Catherine Stefani, Sunnyvale Mayor Glenn Hendricks, Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor, Sebastopol Mayor Patrick Slayter, Sausalito Mayor Joan Cox, former US Ambassador to Japan John Roos, and former Deputy Secretary of Energy Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.
