On Thursday, April 26, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco cooperated with George Washington High School in holding a sushi roll (maki-zushi) workshop for its Japanese class students in Japantown. Following an introduction of the history and types of sushi, Consul General’s Chef Takahashi demonstrated how to make ura-maki and hoso-maki. The students enjoyed making and tasting their own sushi rolls!
