Japanese Films at Frameline42 Film Festival

Q&A session with “Of Love & Law” Director Hikaru Toda
On Sunday, June 17 and Saturday, June 23, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco supported the screening of two Japanese films as a part of the Frameline42 film festival. The sold-out screenings were held at the Roxie Theater and featured “Close-Knit” on June 17 and “Of Love & Law” on June 23 which also featured a Q&A session with director Hikaru Toda. These award-winning films gave audience members the chance to have a deeper understanding of Japan and its people.

Frameline (the San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival) is the largest and longest-running LGBTQ film festival in the world.
