Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2018

On Tuesday, July 17, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the recipients of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for 2018. This year, Commendations will be awarded to 205 individuals and 49 organizations. Within the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco’s jurisdiction, the following four individuals have been selected for their contributions to the strengthening of relations between the United States and Japan.
• Tadao Terajima (President, Pacific Music Enterprises, Inc.)
• Seiji Horibuchi (President & CEO, NEW PEOPLE, Inc.)
The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas. The Commendations also aim to promote the understanding and support of the Japanese public towards the activities of recipients.
