On Wednesday, August 8, a girls softball team from San Mateo visited the Consulate General and talked with Deputy Consul General Shoichi Nagayoshi about Japan and his work as a diplomat. San Mateo and Toyonaka have organized a boys baseball team exchange for nearly 40 years through their sister city relationship, and now for the first time, a San Mateo girls softball team will visit Toyonaka in October on an exchange of their own.
