On Sunday, August 26, Deputy Consul General Shoichi Nagayoshi attended the US-Japan Friendship Cup Tennis Tournament hosted by the Japan Society of Northern California in Millbrae. Founded in 1987, the friendly tournament is an opportunity for the people of Japan and the US to have fun playing tennis together. Millbrae Mayor Gina Papan also attended this year’s tournament. Deputy Consul General Nagayoshi presented the tournament champion with the Consular Cup, a steel chalice donated by the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco in 1990.
