Opening remarks from Mr. Yuji Ide of the US-Japan Forum

On Friday, September 14, Consul General Tomochika Uyama attended the 13th US-Japan Future Forum at San Jose State University. This year’s forum focused on the theme, “Meiji Restoration and California Gold Rush –What is the Next Gold Rush?-”. A keynote speech was delivered by Ms. Sayoko Sakakibara from Stanford University who is a specialist in the Meiji period, followed by Japanese students’ presentations on the application of next generation technology on new industries.
