Opening remarks from SF City Supervisor Vallie Brown
On Saturday, October 20, Consul General Tomochika Uyama attended and gave remarks at the Aki Matsuri (fall festival) in San Francisco Japantown’s Peace Plaza, which was held in honor of the Japan Center’s 50th Anniversary. The Consulate, in partnership with the Japantown Merchants Association and the Japantown Taskforce supported performances by San Francisco Taiko Dojo and San Jose Taiko, and also held a booth promoting Japanese culture and travel.
