Congressman Jim Costa explains significance of the U.S.-Japan relationship
On Friday, November 9, Consul General Tomochika Uyama hosted a reception celebrating the recent appointment of Mr. Dale Ikeda as Honorary Consul of Japan in Fresno. Mr. Ikeda graduated from the University of California, Davis, California in 1976 with a J.D. He began his career as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Fresno, spent several decades in private practice, and ultimately retired as a Superior Court Judge of the County of Fresno in 2017.
 
Approximately 100 people, including friends and family of Mr. Ikeda, Congressman Jim Costa, Fresno County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sal Quintero, were in attendance to celebrate his new appointment.
