On Friday, November 30, Consul General Uyama presented the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Dr. Steven K. Vogel at UC Berkeley. The ceremony was co-hosted by the Consulate General of Japan and UC Berkeley’s Center for Japanese Studies. A professor of political science at UC Berkeley, Dr. Vogel received the award for his contributions to the advancement of research on Japan in the United States.
