Students from Meiji University and the University of Electro-Communications
On Monday, December 10, twenty-two students and two educators from Meiji University and the University of Electro-Communications visited the Consulate as a part of the Kakehashi Project, an exchange program to promote mutual understanding between Japan and the US. The students learned about the Japanese presence in the SF Bay Area and the functions of the consulate from a presentation by Deputy Consul General Iryu. Over the next week the students will learn much about the history, culture, economy and international relations of the SF Bay Area visiting several companies, schools and other local facilities.
