On Wednesday, March 13, Consul General and Mrs. Tomochika Uyama hosted a “sake night” at their residence for the League of the San Francisco Consular Corps (LSFCC). In the event, Ms. Tamiko Ishidate, Director of Sake for Young’s Market Company, gave a presentation on Japanese sake which was followed by a tasting of three types of sake. A buffet dinner was prepared by Consul General’s chef Mr. Takahashi, who specifically chose dishes that pair well with sake.
