On Friday, April 5, Deputy Consul General Iryu attended and gave remarks at the Japan-U.S. Military Program’s (JUMP) inaugural Las Vegas event. He also screened an official video of JUMP from the Prime Minister’s Office. Military personnel who served in Japan and their family members attended the event. Ambassador James Zumwalt, who served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and Mr. Peter Kelley, President of the National Association of Japan America Societies, were also in attendance. The event celebrated the progress of the U.S.-Japan friendship and collaboration.
