Thirteenth Japan International MANGA Award

We are happy to announce that the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco is now accepting applications for the 13th Japan International MANGA Award!
The Japan International MANGA Award was launched in 2007 by then Foreign Minister Taro Aso, with the aim of awarding Manga creators who have contributed to the spread of Manga culture overseas and international exchanges through Manga.
Application Period: April 8 - June 14, 2019 **Deadline has been extended to June 28, 2019**
Awardees will be invited to Japan by the Japan Foundation for an approximately 10-day trip, during which they will attend the award ceremony, meet with Japanese Manga creators, visit publishing companies, and make excursions to local sites.
