Deputy Consul General Iryu Attends the Asian Pacific American Heritage Awards

On Wednesday, May 1, Deputy Consul General Iryu attended the Asian Pacific American Heritage Awards ceremony in San Francisco. Deputy Consul General Iryu was invited onstage with other elected officials and Consuls General to witness Mayor London Breed sign a proclamation commemorating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the City and County of San Francisco.

At this year’s award ceremony, Ms. Sandy Ouye Mori, co-founder of the non-profit community-based organization “Kimochi”, was conferred the public service award for her longtime dedicated contribution to the Asia Pacific community in the region.
