On Thursday, May 2, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the United States, held a screening of the film Persona Non Grata at the Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas. The film is based on the true story of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat based in Lithuania during World War Two. He issued visas to Jewish refugees, saving thousands of lives. Following the film, a panel discussion was held with the Director, Cellin Gluck, and the daughter of a Sugihara Survivor, Ms. Debby Graudenz. Around 250 people attended the screening.
