On Sunday, May 5, Deputy Consul General Kazuhiro Iryu attended the 42nd Nikkei Matsuri in San Jose Japantown, and gave remarks during the opening ceremony. Nikkei Matsuri is an annual festival that celebrates Japanese and Japanese American culture and traditions. The Consulate also staffed a booth at the festival with information on Japanese culture, tourism, and the JET Program.
