On Monday, May 6, ten representatives from foreign missions in San Francisco visited the office of the Consulate General of Japan to sign the book of felicitations to His Majesty the Emperor on the occasion of his accession to the Imperial Throne. During their visit, they met with Consul General Uyama and offered their congratulations to Japan and His Majesty the Emperor.
From Monday, May 7 to Wednesday, May 9, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco held a public signing of a book of felicitations to His Majesty the Emperor. Individuals could come to the Japan Information and Cultural Center and sign their name in the book. The books will be sent to the Imperial Household Agency of Japan.
