On Thursday, May 30 Deputy Consul General Iryu attended the “Owakare-shiki” (Farewell Ceremony) at Rosa Parks Elementary School in San Francisco and made congratulatory remarks to the 5th graders graduating from the Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP). At the ceremony, younger students from kindergarten to the 4th grade sang Japanese songs and gave speeches to send off the graduates.
