On Saturday, June 1, Consul General and Mrs. Tomochika Uyama visited Angel Island with Mr. Buck Gee, President of the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation (AIISF) Board of Directors. They received a briefing from an Angel Island State Park Interpreter on the history of the Immigration Station, which was operated from 1910 to 1940, as well as the efforts to preserve the historic sites.
