Deputy Consul General Iryu with Mr. Dennis Akizuki, Chairman of 2019 San Jose Obon Festival
On Saturday, July 13, Deputy Consul General Iryu attended the annual Obon Festival in San Jose Japantown and delivered remarks. Over 1,200 people in colorful festival wear participated in traditional Bon dancing and enjoyed various Japanese foods and performances by musical ensembles, including San Jose Taiko.
