Consul General Uyama Attends 'Paper Lantern' Film Screening

On Tuesday, September 3, Consul General Uyama gave remarks at a screening of the film Paper Lanterns. The screening was organized by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce as their inaugural film screening event of 2019. The film shares the story of Shigeaki Mori, a Japanese historian and atomic bomb survivor who made it his mission to find the families of the 12 American POWs killed during the bombing of Hiroshima. Film producer Nobuko Saito Cleary was in attendance to introduce the film.
