Research grant recipient receives award from Okawa Foundation President Igarashi
On Thursday, September 12, Deputy Consul General Iryu attended the Okawa Foundation’s 2019 research grant ceremony and gave congratulatory remarks. The Okawa Foundation awards a $10,000 research grant to selected scholars in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Since 1996, over 200 U.S. scholars have been presented with research grants, totaling over $2 million in grant money. In 2019, there were 8 distinguished professors from 6 universities in the U.S. selected as recipients of these grants.
