On Friday, September 13, Consul General Uyama attended the 14th US-Japan Future Forum at San Jose State University. This year, Consular General Uyama awarded the Consul General’s Commendation to Mr. Yuji Ide for his years of dedicated commitment to the promotion of intellectual exchange between Japan and the US through his organization of the Japan-US Forum.
This year’s forum focused on the theme, “The Future of Space Exploration –50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing-”. A keynote speech was delivered by Professor. Fred Barez from San Jose State University who is a specialist in mechanical engineering, followed by Japanese students’ presentations on the application of next generation technology on aerospace industry.
