Lecture on Japan’s Trade Policy at Fresno State Craig School of Business

On Thursday, October 3, Consul General Uyama gave a lecture on Japan’s trade policy at Fresno State Craig School of Business. During his lecture, he talked about Japan’s position on the globalized economy, governance, and the role of international law. Around 200 business school students, university faculty and staff, and community members attended the lecture, which was followed by a Q&A.

Earlier in the day, he met with Supervisor Nathan Magisg, Chairman of the Fresno County Board of Supervisors, and Fresno City Mayor Lee Brand. They shared views on Fresno, Japan, and their mutual cooperation.

On Friday, October 4, Consul General Uyama visited Mr. David Mas Masumoto, board member of the Public Policy Institute of California. They discussed Mr. Masumoto’s work as well as the Japanese American history of Fresno.
