Consul General Uyama offering remarks welcoming back JET returnees
JET Coordinator Kai Wiesner-Hanks gives opening remarks
On Thursday, October 17th, Consul General Uyama hosted the annual welcome back reception for the JET Program returnees at his official residence. Joining the Consul General to welcome the JET returnees back were members of the JET Alumni Association of Northern California and representatives from community organizations and Japanese businesses in the Bay Area.
After remarks from the Consul General and others, the returnees were able to mingle with other guests and share their experiences in Japan. They were also able to meet with representatives from Japanese businesses interested in hiring candidates like the JET returnees who have a deep understanding of Japanese culture and society as well as Japanese language proficiency.
