On Wednesday, October 30, Deputy Consul General Iryu delivered congratulatory remarks at a welcome dinner in Yuba City, California, for a delegation from Toride, Japan. The delegation was led by Toride Mayor Shingo Fujii and had just arrived in Yuba City to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Yuba City-Toride sister city relationship. The basis of the relationship is rooted in geographical similarities between the two cities, such as rivers, small mountain ranges, and rice fields. Over the years, the cities have organized various programs together and they look forward to strengthening their ties even further.
