On Thursday, November 7, Deputy Consul General Iryu delivered congratulatory remarks at the dedication of the Seizo Oka Collection in San Francisco’s Japantown, hosted by the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC). The archives are a community-owned collection of rare Issei (first generation Japanese American) primary documents that Mr. Seizo Oka, a second generation Japanese American who grew up in Japan, collected from 1952 until his death in 2004, and have opened this time with the cooperation of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
