2020 New Year’s Reception in Nevada

On Thursday, January 30, Acting Consul General Iryu, together with Honorary Consul in Las Vegas Kathleen Blakely, hosted a New Year’s Celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Around 120 guests joined the reception, including representatives of state and local governments, representatives from Japan-affiliated companies, and members of community organizations. During his remarks, Acting Consul General Iryu presented Mr. Ari Kastrati with a letter from Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, appointing him as a Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador
Ikebana flower arrangements prepared by Ms. Kika Shibata of the Sogetsu School were on display at the venue. Guests also enjoyed live koto music by Ms. Yoko Fitzpatrick.
