On Friday, February 21, Consul General MAEDA Toru attended the National Day of Japan Flag Raising Ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, which is marked by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s Birthday. Consul General Maeda delivered his remarks and raised the national flag of Japan. He was joined by representatives from the Bay Area Japanese community and officials from the City and County of San Francisco, in celebrating the Emperor’s Birthday in the year of the new Reiwa Era.
