Consul General Maeda welcomes viewers to the 2020 Virtual NCCBF
On Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, the 2020 Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival was held in a virtual format on the Festival’s Facebook page in light of ongoing stay-at-home decrees by the State of California. Consul General Maeda delivered a video message supporting the festival and the importance of staying connected despite the physical distance separating everyone. Several thousand people from around the world were able to enjoy live performances and presentations by Japanese cultural organizations and San Francisco Japantown community groups.
